What LibTrail is
LibTrail is an independent project for people who love libraries. Explore nearby libraries and public events freely. Create an account when you want to record visits, save events, collect stamps, or share a community note.
Your data & privacy
- Your email is used for account access and is not displayed publicly.
- Your private visit memories remain tied to your account.
- Community notes, chosen display names, and optional leaderboard identities are public.
- Your location is requested only when you choose nearby search or check-in verification. LibTrail does not continuously track it.
- You can browse libraries, events, and public notes without an account.
Check-in rules
To protect the meaning of a passport stamp, LibTrail asks for your location and requires you to be within about 0.4 miles of the library when checking in.
